2007-2008 University of Akron Forum Series
The campus-wide speaker series, The University of Akron Forum is in its thirteenth year.  Support by the Office of the President and the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, the Forum and the John S. Knight Lecture bring a series of major speakers to campus each season so that The University of Akron can better serve its campus community and the people of Northeast Ohio. 

Coordinated with each event in the Forum series will be a variety of campus lectures, discussions and workshops to broaden and deepen the campus learning environment.  Study guides of each speaker will be available this season by calling (330) 972-7224.

Ann Curry, News Anchor Show has been Postponed
Ann Curry sincerely regrets that she cannot make it to Akron on March 10th.  She has an assignment by NBC News that prevents her from coming. She is committed to appearing at the University though and is pleased to postpone her visit to the Fall of 2008.

Subscriptions
The University of Akron Forum can be purchased as a subscription (a savings of 35%-50%) or individually. All seven events are $25 for the general public, $15 with a valid University of Akron Faculty/Staff ID or $10 with a valid University of Akron Student ID.  Subscriptions will be available until November 12, 2007.  Subscription and individual lectures are currently on sale.  All lectures are general admission.  Subscribers will have a reserved area in the Orchestra level.

When you purchase a subscription you will automatically receive tickets to the two lectures this season which are free ticketed events, the John S. Knight Lecture presenting Martin Sheen and Benjamin Zander:  Experiencing the Art of Possibility.

General Public:            $25  
UA Faculty/Staff          $15
UA Student                   $10

Non-subscription tickets for individual lectures are $8 each, $6 for University of Akron Faculty/Staff and Seniors and $4 for University of Akron Students with a valid ID.  For patrons wanting tickets to one or both of the free lectures – limit 2 tickets per lecture – please mail your request to the Thomas Hall Ticket Office and include a self addressed stamped envelope.
